The purpose behind the m̵̨͈̬̲̝̓͗̅͋͐͗̈́̎͆̓͜ͅả̸̱̩̙̩̮͎͊d̶̨͓͖͈̱̪͕͂n̸̢̧̼̯̺̼̫͔̬̾̒ẻ̴̱͍̰̗̮͕̲̃͛͌̎̓͛̕̚s̷͕̉̿̈́͛͛̈́̃͝s̴̈̆̋̕͜

What makes something seem wrong? seem scary? or seem dark? I dont really have an answer for that. Sometimes, the general consensus answers it for me, expressing a particular piece is specially twisted or worse than the usual (in a good way ofcourse)

Its funny how the whole exercise started, I always wanted to practice anatomy, get better in sketching. But instead of taking the typical path of drawing hundreds of eyes, hands in graceful positions or drawing famous faces; I chose this method, as it would've given me the same type of practice also any thing mangled or mutilated covered up my lack of skill. After more than 50 drawings, there has been an improvement, and has manifested my linear thought process of coming up with a certain pose, and then editing it to make it uncomfortable. Glaring errors usually make the drawings look really novice, even seem like cringy edgl0rd sketches.

It is amazing that a form that we are so well aware and used to knowing, seeing, feeling that too of different shapes, sizes and colours; seeing one with some unusual addition/removal makes it so unusual for the human eye and instantly creates this sense of incomprehensibility. For traditioned people, seeing a person covered with tattoos or intensive facial piercings or for common people to see a person suffering physical deformities, brings feelings of sympathy, disgust or even horror. It is a cultural resultant, an infant cannot recognise disability, since it itself doesnt possess any ability. Unless a person shows emotions that can cause a viscerel reaction, a truly neutral viewer shouldn't be reciprocating a feeling of sympathy, disgust or even horror.

I wish I had a much sinister and deeper justifications for the art. It's selfish to say, but i wish i could add something to the art and lend it some purpose, than just letting it be 'An arm missing a finger'. We all yearn for a little romanticism in what we see, hear and feel. A feeling of nostalgia in our experiences makes them worth having. An experience becomes a thing of massive saleability, extending to even being priceless. Although I look at them like my sparring sessions with a pen and paper, it may become a thing of immense value looking back, as a view into the psyche for what I was. No way I expect these to blow up or become the norm, however many have seen to accept the genre and look deeper into the mystery that they offer.

What's to come in the near future? Developing a mindset for practice, bring in light and shadows in this world and overall ink mastery. When will it happen and how long itl'l take to master this? probably forever.

  1. I guess it's time we look at art and just observe, instead of focusing on what it means. This is beautiful!
